Back when i wanted to learn how to play YuGiOh, i went to my local store and simply asked the guy at the counter when the next tournament was. then i just showed up. Its not really hard and sometimes, places have informal nights to play where you can just get together and play for hours with people.
You should just ask.

i think its going to be hard finding a place considering that yugioh is slowly fading away i still like it, although i haven’t dueled in like a year or two, do you live near a mall? i would look online they have lists of tournaments, where they will be held at, and when i hope you find one i really liked dueling i still do i guess but everyone around me just moved on well good luck

go to your local comic book shop on a saturday..thats when they hold tournys) but get your deck ready cuz there are some strong players..But also dont worry..they dont play for cards and many people at tourneys are very freindly.=so dont worry about you getting scammed..i hope this helped*

sometimes comic stores and toy stores have them just ask someone who works there
